Boston has a subway system known as the T that imposes a fixed charge (usually USD 1.25) for one-way rides to most locations on the system. Tokens are available at the booth in each station or from token-dispensing machines. A free shuttle bus (outside each terminal building) runs from the airport subway station to the airport terminals.
As an alternative to driving to Logan Airport, Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) offers frequent express bus service from Braintree to the south, Framingham to the west, and Peabody and Woburn to the north. Full-service bus terminals and secure parking are available at all four locations.
For information on the Logan shuttle bus that goes to the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) airport station see Massport.
