Global Citizenship

"We have chosen the term Global Citizenship to describe our approach because it best reflects the great cultural diversity of our people as well as their will, individually and collectively, to contribute to the progress and well-being of those whose lives are touched by our activities around the globe."

Global Citizenship at Schlumberger reflects the rich diversity and quality of our workforce. Drawn from 140 nationalities and working in more than 80 countries, our employees share a willingness to contribute to the progress and well-being of the people impacted by our activities, including employees, contractors, clients, shareholders, suppliers, and the citizens of the communities in which we live and work.
We've developed a Global Citizenship framework that is focused on issues of global concern. We believe that, through thought leadership and our own best practices, we can make a difference in six priority areas:
Our approach builds on a strong foundation, developed over the nearly 80-year history of the company, in ethics, global management standards, diversity in recruitment and opportunity, training and development, and health and safety leadership.
We strongly believe that actions speak louder than words. Learn more by reading our Global Citizenship booklet, which illustrates our approach through key examples.
