SRPC is the largest Schlumberger technology and development center in Europe. Here more than 500 scientists, engineers, and technicians design and manufacture equipment and systems, specializing in
- formation evaluation (measurements in wells while drilling or via wireline cable)
- production-related measurements (used periodically or permanently installed in wells)
- testing of hydrocarbon reservoirs (downhole transient measurements and equipment to handle produced fluids at surface)
- cementing (chemical formulations for fluids used during well construction).
SRPC produces and supports
Staff develop advanced technology for remote subsurface exploration and have expertise in high-temperature electronics, mechanical systems for use in extreme conditions (pressure, shock, vibration), the physics of sensors and measurements, chemistry and material sciences, software development, applied mathematics, geophysics and geology, and petroleum engineering.
