Carbon Services—Repository Monitoring
We use our experience with sensors and measurement techniques to provide a comprehensive approach to monitoring CO2 storage. Our objective is to manage performance and mitigate risks associated with all phases of the storage project.
- Injection. Monitoring of gas composition, pressure, temperature, and subsurface geomechanics during CO2 injection tracks performance objectives.
- Containment. Monitoring CO2 displacement and distribution in the subsurface verifies the quality of the containment. Data are also used to benchmark and to calibrate simulation tools.
- Environment. Surface monitoring for water quality control or CO2 detection involves installation of sensors and a site-specific monitoring protocol.
