SUPERSET Power Cartridges, CPST-AA/CB and BAKER #20 (H523066)/CPST-BB (H523162)
The SUPERSET Power Cartridge is a Schlumberger designed and manufactured propellant charge to replace all existing power charges used in the CPST and Baker packer setting tools. The charge features:
A long burn time (over 9 seconds) across the entire temperature range.
Easier tool cleanup.
Increased safety during storage.
Plugs and packers require a smooth and slow setting action to allow elastomers and moving parts a longer time to move prior to shearing of the tool release. Previous power charges have caused problems at elevated temperatures and with large diameter plugs and packers related to rapid burn times. These include premature setting, incomplete setting, and tool release difficulties.
