Production optimization through real-time measurements

The Schlumberger Production Center of Excellence (PCoE) is a production optimization solution based on the expertise of a multidiscipline collaborative team in the surveillance and diagnostics of well and reservoir production. The PCoE combines a unique methodology and workflow with advanced technologies to optimize producing wells so that they reach ultimate recovery.

The power of the PCoE is based on a methodology of continuous surveillance and experienced diagnostics. Although many operators currently take the measurements used in the workflow, this process is particularly profitable because of proactive information management and efficient use of resources. The result is a clear picture of exactly how a field is performing, and a plan of action to increase production.

Methodology
Schlumberger has developed this unique methodology through the application of surveillance and diagnostic technology and workflows.

Surveillance is a semi-automated methodology that identifies wells that are operating outside their optimum range. The service manages large volumes of data to proactively monitor trends, anticipate failures and workovers, and identify wells that have the potential for production improvement.

Diagnostics is an episodic service that uses wellsite and reservoir measurements to optimize the total well performance: the outflow, and the reservoir.
