The technique can be used to compliment your existing communications infrastructure to extend connections to where they are needed.

Communication, information and data services can be provided to surrounding locations, quickly, efficiently, and cost effectively. With ranges in excess of 20km (subject to physical conditions) available, WiMAX extends your network to anywhere that it is required. VoIP, intranet, production data gathering, plant monitoring, process control, and CCTV transport, can now be deployed to previously unreachable locations. Integrated QoS will ensure that traffic is prioritized so that critical data is handled correctly.
