InSitu Family
The more you know about your reservoir fluids, the better equipped you are to reduce the risks associated with producing them. A series of innovations have combined to create Fluid Profiling, the characterization of reservoir fluid properties and quantification of their variation. It's the most advanced method yet to dynamically investigate fluids at source. InSitu Family reservoir fluid measurements are acquired with the InSitu Fluid Analyzer system, which delivers the next generation of measurements for real-time downhole fluid analysis (DFA).
Fluid Profiling
InSitu Family measurements can be used to describe the entire reservoir fluid system by scanning fluid properties in different reservoir zones. Beyond single well applications Fluid Profiling now lets you characterize the possible inhomogeneity of fluids on a field-wide scale, to quantify compositional gradients and identify zonal connectivity.
A new range of answers
As a comprehensive suite of services the InSitu Family represents a range of previously unachievable quantifiable fluid measurements.
Fluid Profiling delivers advantage across a number of applications. To discover how using InSitu can be of benefit to your field, simply select your area of interest.
Quicksilver Probe focused fluid extraction acquires reservoir fluids downhole with unprecedented purity, in a fraction of the time needed for conventional sampling and fluid characterization techniques. Sample quality control is enhanced, as pressure and temperature of captured reservoir fluid samples can now be measured at source. For single-phase assurance, gas liberation (bubblepoint) or liquid dropout (dewpoint) can both be actively detected whilst pumping reservoir fluid to the wellbore, before a sample bottle is filled.
The business of measurement
Because gaining accurate information from the subsurface is fundamental to your decision-making, metrology - the science of measurement - is more than academic: it's business-critical. InSitu represents the latest development in a line of Schlumberger services built on a heritage of downhole measurement; a unique legacy stretching back to the origins of the company itself. It's why InSitu Family measurements mean answers you can count on, time and time again.
