Static seismic inversion uses inverse modeling techniques to solve for acoustic and elastic rock properties from 2D and 3D seismic data. Reservoir Seismic Services (RSS) has a range of AVO and inverse modeling techniques. These include prior model building, wavelet processing methods, poststack inversion, AVO inversion, and the preferred method of prestack simultaneous AVO inversion from the ISIS suite. Static inversion also runs on multicomponent, wide, rich, and multiazimuth seismic surveys. Products from static seismic inversion include acoustic and elastic impedance cubes; compressional velocity, shear velocity, and density cubes; and a wide range of associated seismic attributes.
