Comprehensive Design and Analysis

Whether you need a least-cost design for the whole well, a design for an individual casing string, or analysis of an existing tubular for an upcoming operation, Osprey Tubular Designer will yield comprehensive results quickly to ensure the structural integrity of any well- including deepwater and HPHT-and maximize productive life. With support for dual-tubing completions, multiple packers, plugs, and other completion accessories, Osprey Tubular Designer enables you to model even your most complex casing and tubing strings.

Osprey Tubular Designer extends the service life of the model by taking into account multiple installed conditions. This enables you to accurately model conditions such as green cement pressure tests, packer setting sequences, and compressional loads while running in hole.

Osprey Tubular Designer comes complete with a comprehensive catalog of API casing, tubing, and connection data. The integrated catalog editor means that you can quickly import tubulars and add custom connections, including connection envelopes. Catalog properties can be in API, gas/oil superficial tension (GOST), or ISO 10400 standards.

The integrated torque and drag engine gives you accurate analysis of running loads, slack-off conditions, and helical buckling. These models provide you with the information you need to prevent fatigue and plastic yield failures. Friction factor calibration ensures that your results reflect the real world. Other features include anisotropy for corrosion-resistant alloys, the ability to include specialist materials, temperature derating profiles, and wall loss.

Production Tubing and Completion Accessories

Osprey Tubular Designer is able to model more than a dozen completion accessories, including gas lift mandrels, ESP, FIV* formation isolation valves, screens, and expansion and safety joints. All of these components may have multiple triaxial envelopes that can be imported graphically or entered in tabular format and stored in the integrated accessory catalogs.

Identify Critical Points of Interest

The interactive wellbore schematic can be viewed in deviated and true-scale views and can display tubular stresses, enabling a quick assessment of the overall analysis. Any problems found are highlighted and hyperlinked to the specific load case causing the problem. Tabular views also include hyperlinking of report values such as minimum design factors and buckling, making it easy to determine the most important information.

Intuitive charts easily display data when the user "rolls over" the plotted data or the legend. Configurable report generation allows you to share your results in appropriate detail.
