Through the power of the Ocean application development framework, many extensions for the Petrel seismic-to-simulation workflow have been created. These provide additional functionality to the standard Petrel workflow and are provided as an executable that adds the module to your existing Petrel install.
Upgridding Utilities
This plug-in provides upgridding functionality, including both manual and automatic upgridding for selected layers, calculating and analyzing the variation between layer upgridding, and calculating zone fractions as part of the layering procedure.
Drilling Event Visualization for Petrel
The visualization of drilling knowledge in the overburden shared earth model enhances well planning and real-time drilling operations workflows with proactive drilling risk management.
OpenSpirit Plug-In
Seamlessly integrate your logs, markers, seismic volumes and interpretations in OpenWorks, GeoFrame and Finder with Petrel.
IP Plug-In
The Interactive Petrophysics (IP) plug-in for Petrel allows you to import and export wells, well logs and well tops between the IP database and Petrel. The users doesn't need Interactive Petrophysics installed to make use of the interface, as the IP plug-in includes its own database engine.
ProSource Plug-In
The ProSource Plug-ins are the ProSource Petrel Extensions and the ArcGIS Plug-in for Petrel. The ProSource Petrel Extensions brings Information Management workflows for managing multiple Petrel projects, using Ocean plug-ins to read the data from Petrel projects. Once the Petrel project data is in a database, a tool such as ProSource can be used to accomplish IM workflows such as data QA/QC, comparison with other data, view data in a map view and export data for further analysis. The ArcGIS Plug-in enables the import and export process for Shapefiles and ESRI grids.
Petrel OFM Plug-In
Well configuration data (location, deviation surveys, tubing configurations) and production volumes are vital for efficient Petrel modeling. In many clients these data are available in OFM projects with live-links to the client's production data management system. The OFM Plug-in for Petrel eliminates the need for the Petrel user to laboriously pass this data to his or her earth model. It also eliminates the errors introduced by re-keying, copy / paste.
Free Plug-ins for Petrel
The plug-ins are available for download from the Software Support Portal. These plug-ins are free and unsupported.
Adjacent Cell Plug-in
The Adjacent Cell Plug-in is designed to facilitate computations between adjacent cell values using the Property Calculator.
Min Max by IJ Plug-in
When executed, the plug-in processes each IJ "stack" of cells to determine the minimum and maximum value.
