Quantify reservoir simulation uncertainties

COUGAR™ reservoir uncertainty analysis software is unique in the industry. This is the only application that is fully integrated with reservoir simulation software to quantify uncertainty and rapidly determine the range of an asset value with greater precision. Perform sensitivity analyses and the optimization of production scenarios with a risk-analysis approach. Investigate controllable development-scheme parameters, such as well locations and economic uncertainties, such as oil revenue, opex, and capex.

COUGAR is integrated with ECLIPSE® reservoir simulation software and other simulators, such as the Athos® product.

Benefits
  • Rapidly determine, with greater certainty, the range of an asset value
  • Account for uncertainties in reservoir development economics
  • Rank the influence of uncertain parameters on a simulation model
  • Optimize production schemes for probabilities in a risk-prone environment

How does COUGAR work?
COUGAR uses experimental design techniques to obtain maximum information at the lowest experimental cost by varying all uncertain parameters simultaneously. Each experimental design corresponds to a small set of optimally chosen reservoir simulation runs to encompass the uncertain domain.

Launch reservoir simulations and analyze the results from a set of simulation runs so you can identify influential parameters. The software builds an approximation of the simulation fluid flow model for further analytical purposes during field-development planning.
