Special Core Analysis Management Software
SCAL gives you an environment to manage special core-analysis data. It also helps you use laboratory-derived, relative-permeability and capillary-pressure measurements in reservoir simulation. With SCAL you validate and classify experimental data according to various criteria. Records and groups may be copied, moved and deleted by using the mouse and the group and individual record labels may be set.
You can apply specialized plots and functions specific to data for validation purposes with SCAL.
For example, data can be normalized, denormalized, averaged or interpolated. The data can be fitted to functions, splines or to industry-standard correlations. SCAL provides you with tools to display several specialized plots at once and to produce arbitrary crossplots.
SCAL enables you to allocate chosen relative-permeability and capillary-pressure curves to appropriate blocks in the simulation grid automatically by applying user-defined criteria. The three-dimensional visualization capability provides a quick and effective way of checking the data allocations. SCAL also has extensive support for end-point scaling.
