What's new in Merak 2009.1 - Product by Product

Merak VOLTS

Merak VOLTS 2009.1 introduces Merak VOLTS Integrated Economics, a method of calculating reserves by linking categories in VOLTS reservoir documents to Peep cases and consolidations. Integrated Economics has these key features:
  • Calculate Economic Volumes and Values - users can calculate both the economic volumes and values of projects by linking reserve categories to Peep documents.
  • Establish Consistent Calculations - by configuring Price file settings in VOLTS and calculation parameters in the Merak Administration Console (MAC) companies can ensure that economic reserves are being calculated in a consistent manner.
  • Launch linked cases in Peep from the VOLTS Hierarchy - Peep documents can be launched directly from the VOLTS hierarchy in order to review or edit them.
  • Track Changes to economic volumes and value - changes to economic volumes and values resulting from recalculation of Peep documents can be tracked with change records.
  • Calculations - to increase the efficiency of calculations, VOLTS provides users with the option to only calculate outdated results.
  • Multiple Outcomes - VOLTS can generate reportable results using different prices and Peep scenarios.
  • Security - All reserves and economic data are stored in a single, secure database.
