Schlumberger Hosts SEC Regulations Expert
The SIS Merak team hosted Dr. W John Lee, Professor of Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M University and co-author of the recent SEC Reserves Regulation changes, in Calgary on 30th June 2009. Dr. Lee addressed a select group of 25 Senior Reserves Evaluators and Reserves Managers representing the Majors and Canada's largest independent oil & gas companies.
In this exclusive forum, Dr. Lee focused on the specifics of the regulation changes and what these changes would mean for O&G producers. The informative insights and opinions that he shared on the interpretation of certain guidelines and the probable outcome for elements currently undergoing review for clarification by the SEC were eagerly absorbed by all attendees.
During his visit, Dr. Lee also presented an extremely well received overview of the SEC regulation changes to a capacity Lunch & Learn audience at the Calgary Technology Center.
