Product Sheet: Liner Profile Nipple

Date: 10/16/2013

Protects liner and its connections from drilling load damage during TDDirect LD service

The liner profile nipple (LPN) connects the liner to the inner string independently, isolating the liner from the drilling loads generated by the BHA. The LPN conveys drilling loads generated by the BHA through the drillstring, which protects the liner and liner connections from potentially damaging rotational and axial forces.

Cuttings passing between the liner and open hole are crushed and forced into the wellbore, mitigating mud losses and opening mud margins. Beyond reducing mud losses, these effects can also extend the casing point.
