Product Sheet: Pumpdown Displacement Plug Cementing System

Date: 7/2/2013

Cement isolation and backflow prevention for TDDirect casing and liner drilling

The TDDirect CD and TDDirect LD service cementing system is used with retrievable BHAs when conventional float equipment cannot be used. The system includes a pumpdown displacement plug (PDDP), which is pre-installed in the casing string, and a plug landing nipple (PLN). The PLN is installed near the bottom of the casing or liner string to provide an internal profile into which the PDDP lands and latches, enabling the assembly to hold pressure from both directions. Once landed in the PLN, the PDDP prevents cement from U-tubing into the casing or liner.
