PEMEX Achieves Maximum ROP in Tough Cretaceous Formation, Saves 168 Drilling Hours

When drilling through three different highcompressive- strength, high-temperature Cretaceous formations composed of 30% flint, PEMEX used the Neyrfor turbodrilling system and a Kinetic diamond-impregnated bit for directional efficiency, reducing shock and vibrations to achieve drilling goals. The operator completed the interval in one run and saved 3 trips.
