Reversible PRIMO-FAZE System and WARP Fluids Technology Avoid Screen Plugging and Optimize Cleanup

An operator in Equatorial Guinea planned to use 150-um expandable screens in a producer well with primary challenges including optimizing cleanup by maintaining a clean, uniform filtercake across the producing sands and avoiding screen plugging. M-I SWACO proposed using the PRIMO-FAZE system to drill the reservoir with minimal formation damage. The reservoir interval was drilled to the planned depth with no issues related to hole or fluid conditions. Screens were run with a reversible WARP advanced fluids technology system featuring micronized particles that minimize fluid conditioning time to prevent screen plugging.
