An operator was experiencing steadily increasing costs in managing a high volume of oil-base cuttings. To reduce the costs of managing these cuttings, the SCREEN PULSE separator and DURAFLO composite replacement screens were recommended.

For a Woodford Shale well, the SCREEN PULSE separator reduced cumulative drilling waste management costs USD 106,250 in the oil-base-mud interval. Additional savings of USD 45,600 were gained by recovering 285 bbl of oil-base mud, which was then reused in the active drilling fluid system.
