Abstract

The use of a multiphase flow meter in the well testing facilities has yielded significant enhancements for the development program of the Girassol deep offshore field. Well performance assessment is improved by the complete data coverage and better accuracy the meter provides. Operating time is reduced because the well test data is obtained during the clean-up period. Use of the meter also allows a better control of the well clean-up duration and effectiveness. Overall, the flow assurance is improved because of the improved data quality given by the flow meter.
