Alternative Seawater and Brackish Water Intakes

Alternative intake design and construction for largest beach well system in the western hemisphere

Customer: Confidential
Schlumberger designed and constructed a 72,000 cubic meters-per-day alternative intake system for a new reverse-osmosis desalination facility – the largest beach well system in the western hemisphere. By using natural filtration, high-quality water is being delivered to the facility without the need for extensive pretreatment processes, which reduces costs, reduces environmental impacts, improves performance, and improves reliability.
