Streamline production testing and monitoring

By using advanced full-gamma spectroscopy to capture multiphase flow dynamics at a single point in the venturi throat, the Vx Spectra flowmeter enables real-time data monitoring and analysis to help you make better-informed decisions for maximizing reservoir productivity.

Specifically designed for surface production facilities and eliminating separation requirements, the compact Vx Spectra flowmeter integrates robust electronic components within its modular design to increase reliability while minimizing downtime and reducing running costs. The superior metrological performance of every flowmeter is extensively tested and verified throughout the build process, including final flow checks in our state-of-the-art flow loop laboratory at our Singapore multiphase manufacturing facility and Well Test Technology Center.

Expanded operating envelope

The five venturi throat sizes available for the Vx Spectra suface multiphase flowmeter are engineered to cover the broadest range of production flow rates, from heavy oils to wet gas wells.

  • The 19-mm version reaches a new low-rate limit, delivering accurate measurements down to 30 bbl/d for monitoring low-rate producers.
  • The 29-mm and 40-mm venturi versions introduce solutions to midrange multiphase metering operations and are applicable to the majority of the world’s producing oil fields.
  • The 65-mm version addresses high-rate oil producers and the majority of wet gas flow rates worldwide.
  • The 88-mm venturi version is primarily for high-rate wet gas wells but also serves commingled production metering.
