ATC LITE Low-Volume Automatic Tank-Cleaning Technology

Overview Library

Proven performance in a compact footprint

With ATC LITE technology, M-I SWACO builds on its field-proven ATC automatic tank-cleaning technology to provide the industry with a permanently installed mud tank cleaning system for offshore installations. The ATC LITE technology, which can also be truck mounted for land-based operations, delivers superior waste reduction efficiencies by using only 41 bbl [6.5 m3] of washwater to clean multiple tanks. It provides a cost-effective, fully automated, and easily operated alternative to conventional cleaning, and it typically requires no manual labor, minimizes downtime, and offers nearly complete recycling capabilities.

Efficiency from beginning to end

The technology is ideally suited to applications where water consumption is a primary concern. As it continually recycles waste water in the cleaning process, the ATC LITE technology uses only a fraction of the water required for competitive cleaning processes. Furthermore, unlike batch-type processes and systems that have separate cleaning and recycling capabilities, the all-inclusive ATC LITE technology is a continuous on-the-fly cleaning and reuse process.

Designed with safety in mind

ATC LITE technology more than meets the industry’s need for a tank cleaning and recycling system designed specifically for the offshore rental market. Because of its designated application, the technology is engineered with mandated regulatory and operational redundancies with respect to process capacity, automated electrical systems, dual voltage network, and DNV-certified frames.
