Low-Pressure Rotating Control Device Services

Overview Product Sheets

Ideal for Onshore Operations with Limited Space

Low-pressure rotating control device (RCD) services include compact, short profile devices ideally suited for MPD and UBD operations in low-pressure surface holes and large-diameter well sections on rigs with limited stack-height space between the wellhead and the rig floor. These field-proven models provide robust bearing performance and dependable independent seals for a wide range of drilling fluid and drillpipe sizes.

A choice of sealing elements is available for a wide range of drilling fluid and drillpipe sizes, including stationary elements for intermediate casing sizes. The low-pressure RCD sealing elements are independent of the bearing assembly to facilitate element replacement by rig personnel and eliminate the need for extra bearing assemblies.

The robust design and efficient profiles of the low-pressure RCDs minimize the need for continuous onsite service support, making them ideally suited for onshore rigs drilling in remote areas.

Robust performance, dependable seal integrity

Low-pressure RCDs have a long history of robust performance and dependable seal integrity during flow drilling operations, under hazardous conditions, and for influx control. They are widely used in onshore applications in the Bakken, Eagle Ford, Haynesville, Marcellus, and Niobrara, US shale plays; Permian basin oil and gas fields; and the deep gas fields of South Texas and Louisiana.
