The proven reliability and survivability of these downhole tools has contributed to the success of HPHT projects once considered uneconomic, in the North Sea and elsewhere.
Schlumberger engineers, manufactures, and operates directional drilling and MLWD services, turbines, hydraulic jars, and M-I SWACO drilling fluids rated for HT environments. We have collaborated closely with the United States Department of Energy (DOE) and the United States National Energy Technology Laboratory to develop and test technology rated to 200 degC [392 degF].
