Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE)

QHSE is a core value of the Geoservices culture. We have a long-standing commitment to:

  • continuous improvement of product and service quality
  • the highest standards for the health and safety of our employees, customers, and contractors
  • protection of the environment in the communities where we live and work.

Our HSE and Quality organizations work closely with management, formulating segment-specific QHSE strategies, standards, and philosophies. Follow-up includes: communication; assistance; auditing and reviews to benchmark our performance and assess the effectiveness of the systems.

An effective Emergency Response Procedure is included in our HSE plan for each area of operation.

Geoservices’ HSE and Quality management systems have been progressively integrated with Schlumberger systems through mentoring, and cascading of training and procedures.

Geoservices has enjoyed an excellent safety performance record over many years, and management systems with independent audit (based on OHSAS 18001) have resulted in awards from our clients and international authorities. These include the British Safety Council “Sword of Honour” award for Excellence in Safety, over an unbroken 12-year period.

Environmental protection

Geoservices’ Environmental Management system is based upon best practice and formal procedures as identified within the ISO 14001 Standard. Our commitment to “minimize our impact on the environment through pollution prevention, reduction of natural resource consumption and emissions, and the reduction and recycling of waste” is highlighted in our QHSE Policy Statement.

Quality Management System

Quality management systems for Geoservices operations, equipment design and manufacturing facilities, are independently certified to ISO 9001:2008 standards with production facilities also certified to ATEX standards.
