Basic Objective:

M-I SWACO has an aquatic bioassay testing laboratory. The lab conducts routine toxicity testing and research to support environmentally responsible drilling activities. We are seeking a part-time entry-level laboratory technician to help maintain cultures of testing organisms and conduct bioassay tests.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate should have taken some high school and college classes in chemistry and biology.
It is essential that the candidate have strong attention to detail and be able to consistently follow protocols closely.
In addition, the candidate should be prepared to follow health, safety, and environmental regulation requirements, and have the physical capabilities to lift aquariums and other equipment. Applicants should expect to work weekend hours, and to meet changing scheduling needs as necessary.
