Single, dual or LPAC choke control units
M-I SWACO provides single and dual Choke Control Consoles with either standard pressure gauges or state-of-the-art digital gauges. Our most recent advancement is the Low Pressure AUTOCHOKE Console (LPAC) designed for MPD and UBD operations.
The Single Choke Control Console is precision-built to provide accurate pressure control, yet is built to withstand the harshest conditions. It operates either hydraulically or manually and is self-contained and skid-mounted for easy installation on or near the rig. A key feature of the console is the large easy-to-read gauges which monitor critical drill pipe and casing-pressure. A choke position indicator shows relative plate opening from “Full Open” to “Full Close”.
The Dual Choke Control Console provides a separate valve to regulate chokes from independent hydraulic systems during special applications. An operator has full command of both chokes without switching controls. The dual unit offers all the benefits of the Single Choke Control Console. For greater space efficiency, it features the same footprint as the Single Choke Control Console.
All gauges and pump/time meter are mounted flush with the panel surface with etched identification labels. The panel layout is ergonomically designed to provide operator comfort with more user-friendly placement of gauges. The Dual Coke Console comprises a larger choke position indicator gauge, high-speed bypass valve and two choke open/close speeds, “Regulated” and “Maximum”.
