The M-I SWACO Production Technologies drag reducers drive down the energy lost in pipeline flow. They do this by suppressing the turbulence at the pipe wall boundary layer that gives rise to drag and inefficient flow.
That suppression allows high-energy fluids to flow more directionally, significantly increasing pipeline capacity, compared with the energy lost in fluids not treated with the Flow-Improver Additive (FIA).
Our drag reduction technology is equally effective whether the liquid product flowing through the pipeline is crude or refined oil or water.
