Schlumberger provides customized design packages for sucker rod lift installations, using the latest commercially available software technology. Engineers create a plan incorporating wellbore profiles and various rod string designs to optimize your production.

Optimal wellbore profiles

Engineers will design and recommend optimal wellbore profiles for rod lift and review existing wellbore profiles to identify potential issues with rod lift.

Vertical rod string design

We will provide new vertical rod string designs or troubleshoot existing installations and make recommendations to optimize your current system.

Deviated rod string design

Our engineers will provide new deviated rod string designs or troubleshoot existing installations and make recommendations to optimize your current system. Using the measured depth, inclination, azimuth, dogleg severity, and side loadings from the directional survey provided for the design, the engineer will provide the optimal rod string design with the minimum recommended guide spacing allowance for rod guides and include 3D graphics of the wellbore profile. We will also recommend the guide style and material specific to the application and operating environment.

Progressing cavity pump rod string designs

Using the latest software technology for rods in PCP applications, engineers can determine the torque rating required to drive the PCP and recommend the best rod for the torque requirements and operating environment.
