Hex Bumper Sub

Deliver forceful blows at will in both open and cased hole fishing applications

For durable and economical upward or downward bumping, the Hex bumper sub maintains full torque transmission and circulation at all times, in any stroke position. This torque transmission is enabled by a hexagonal mandrel, which is one of only five major components of the tool, meaning reliable performance and economical maintenance. The robust fullbore design of the Hex bumper sub minimizes pressure losses and permits compatibility with wireline tools.

The Hex bumper sub is placed above a fishing tool or safety joint to deliver forceful blows at will in both open and cased hole fishing applications. It can also release spears or overshots, dislodge stuck string, and act as a feedoff tool for backoff jobs. Plug-and-abandonment operations can also use the Hex bumper sub for low-level jarring or for cutting casing strings.
