Product Sheet NOVATEC F Filtration-Control Additive
Used as a fluid-loss reducer in the NOVATEC synthetic drilling fluid system.
Novatec* F additive is a maleated rosin polymer/glycol ether used as a fluid- loss reducer in the Novatec synthetic drilling fluid system.
Novatec F additive is also effective in reducing filtration properties in synthetic paraffin and mineral-oil-base systems.

Novatec F additive is used to provide supplementary fluid-loss control in the Novatec system, normally at high oil/water ratios and at temperatures >300°F (>149°C). Treatment levels required depend on the desired filtration control, the brine ratio and density of the drilling fluid but will typically be in the range of 0.33 to 0.85 gal/bbl (8 to 20 L/m3). Pilot testing to determine necessary concentration is recommended.

Novatec F additive is packaged in 55-gal (208-L) steel drums, 195-kg net weight.
Store in a tightly closed original container in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place.
