Our hydraulic catheads deliver smooth and accurate torque to make up and break out premium and standard drillpipe and drill collars.
This is a key capability when it comes to applying correct connection torque, reducing wear on expensive drillstring components, and avoiding potential connection failures. The hydraulic drive limits the risk of electrical hazards in explosive areas and reduces system downtime and maintenance.
A specially rated wireline connects to the rig tong (not included), which transfers the pull to make up or break out the connection. The system can be operated by remote control from a convenient location on the rig.
