Engagement 4 survey – Acquisition started May 2023

Illuminate the subsurface in deepwater US Gulf of Mexico

SLB (Exploration Data) in collaboration with TGS, announces the commencement of Engagement 4, the next phase of its ultralong-offset, full-waveform inversion (FWI) ocean bottom node (OBN) multiclient program in the US Gulf of Mexico. This new phase extends our seamless OBN multiclient coverage to the western edge of Green Canyon. These new data measurements, when combined with the industry leading SLB wide azimuth (WAZ) and full azimuth (dual coil) legacy data portfolio, provide unprecedented new subsurface insights into one of the most challenging areas in the US Gulf of Mexico. This unlocks potential new prospectivity in this previously under explored location. The first FWI images for Engagement 4 will be available in Q4 2023, with final images available in Q3 2024.

Final images are available to license now, for Engagements 1 and 2. For Engagement 3 the first FWI images will be available in Q3 2023 following the recent completion of acquisition, with final images available in Q1 2024. All Engagement phases are processed by the SLB Imaging Center in Houston, Texas.
