Mozambique Angoche Basin

15,000 km2 of broadband seismic data

Working with the National Petroleum Institute of Mozambique (INP) in 2016, WesternGeco acquired 15,000 km2 of broadband seismic data in the Angoche Basin.

The survey covers the Angoche blocks previously awarded in the 5th licensing round in addition to open areas to be awarded in future licensing rounds.

Acquired using marine isometric seismic technology, the survey is optimally located to help oil and gas companies reveal the hydrocarbon potential offshore Angoche.

The survey covers previous Angoche blocks and future open areas.

Our exclusive multiclient 3D survey covers areas to be awarded in future licensing rounds.

Data highlights

  • Isometric seismic technology providing true 3D broadband
  • Total area: 15,000 km2
  • Final migrated volume now available for licensing and shows enhanced seismic data quality
