The annual E&P Special Meritorious Awards for Engineering Innovation recognizes technologies in the upstream petroleum industry that demonstrate innovation in concept, design and application and reflect outstanding technological advancement.
In 2016 Schlumberger technologies are awarded in four categories:
BroadBand Services’ Composite Fracturing Fluids minimize potential screenouts and optimize proppant distribution.
ICE UltraHT Drilling Services expand the ability to accurately and efficiently reach targets in ultrahigh-temperature reservoirs without special operating procedures. The PowerDrive ICE ultraHT rotary steerable system and the TeleScope ICE ultraHT measurements-while-drilling service, together, form the first complete bottomhole assembly specifically designed to operate at 200 degC.
Manara Production and Reservoir Management System, developed in collaboration with Saudi Aramco and Schlumberger, provides downhole permanent monitoring and in-lateral flow control of multiple zones and compartments in real time—for the first time, even in multilateral wells.
xWATER Integrated Water-Flexible Fracturing Fluid Delivery Service is an integrated water-flexible fracturing fluid delivery service that enables operators to use an engineered fracturing fluid customized for the available water, well conditions, and reservoir properties.
