Background
OMV needed to conduct rigless multistage hydraulic fracturing for a total of 11 zones in two horizontal wells. However, high bottomhole static temperatures and extended laterals posed major challenges for plug-and-perf operations; the high temperatures limited the use of tractors, which were rated to only 350 degF [177 degC].

After running several simulations, Schlumberger recommended the Vantage system modified for high temperature (400 degF [204 degC])  by incorporating high-temperature seals throughout the tool. Using the Vantage system, ASFS system, and e-line coiled tubing, OMV was able to set plugs, pressure test the plugs, and perforate two different depths in the same run. OMV successfully executed 10 plug-and-perf runs in just 14 days without any NPT in the first well, saving USD 760,000 in additional runs in the second well.
