APS Accelerator Porosity Sonde

The APS accelerator porosity sonde uses an electronic pulsed neutron generator (PNG) to deliver both epithermal and thermal neutron measurements. It is the core tool of the modular IPL integrated porosity lithology system, for which the neutron measurements provide highly accurate data for evaluating porosity, detecting gas zones, and correcting for borehole irregularity.

The resulting dataset from IPL system logging provides the minimum information required for basic formation evaluation answers, such as porosity and saturations. This basic insight is readily expanded by combining the data with additional measurements. Integrated interpretation employs advanced workflows, the multidisciplinary expertise of our interpretation geoscientists and engineers working with you as needed, and software such as the Techlog wellbore software platform to maximize the value of your logging data. The result is the fullest possible understanding of environments would be difficult to evaluate with only traditional wireline measurements.
