THERMA Distributed Temperature and DAS Analysis Software

Overview Library

Improve visualization and interpretation of your distributed measurements

THERMA distributed temperature and distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) analysis software enables 2D and 3D visualization, processing, and analysis of distributed wellbore temperature profiles. It also enables visualization of distributed acoustic data. This latest version integrates seamlessly with the Techlog wellbore software platform for holistic visualization of petrophysical data.

The software can be used with permanent DTS fiber optics and digital temperature sensors (e.g., WellWatcher Flux multizonal reservoir monitoring system) or with any temporary intervention services—including coiled tubing, wireline, or slickline operations—enabled with fiber optics.

Therma software

  • supports all industry-standard fiber-optic data formats
  • provides a quicklook visualization and analysis tool for production and reservoir engineers
  • facilitates job design with forward temperature modeling
  • combines visualizations of DTS and DAS data
  • enhances the value of data from DTS fiber optics and WellWatcher Flux system hardware
  • calibrates and history matches distributed temperature profiles to estimate production and reservoir parameters
  • estimates zonal flow rates for back allocation
  • helps determine the flow profile for producers and injectors
  • identifies unwanted fluids (gas, water) and crossflow between zones
  • employs specific workflows for dry gas, water injectors, black oil, and high-GOR wells
  • provides the option to update data in real time.

Data Visualization

 THERMA software: Data visualization
Permanent fiber-optic and WellWatcher Flux system distributed temperature and vibration data can be processed and visualized versus time and depth.

Forward Modeling

 THERMA software: Forward modeling
Forwarding modeling using reservoir and fluid properties, downhole equipment, and flow periods can be used to analyze temperature variations seen in injection, dry gas, black oil, and horizontal wells.
