Conventional equipment for treating produced water is manually tuned and relies on laboratory OIW analysis, visual inspection of various sample points, and manual settings of the different valves. This approach depends on the equipment operator, which can lead to misjudgments and mistakes.

Our real-time remote monitoring and control systems for produced water employ automated routines to eliminate the inherent drawbacks of manual tuning and operation. Compact flotation unit (CFU) processes are continually optimized, avoiding the errors that are common to manual tuning.

By extensively and continually monitoring CFU technology, the integrated surveillance systems deliver a more detailed, holistic diagnostic picture of the process than what is possible with manual observations and laboratory samples. A separate programmable logic controller (PLC) placed on the skid contains the advanced control algorithms that automate and optimize the operation of CFU technology.
