MANE is a prestack noise attenuation method specifically designed to enhance the signal-to-noise ratio of multicomponent data.

The method enables us to produce a noise model from information contained in the radial and transverse data components. This model can then be adaptively subtracted from the vertical component, removing noise such as ground roll, while preserving signal and direct arrival energy.
