The Q-Seabed multicomponent seabed seismic system delivers the highest-quality multicomponent data in the most-efficient manner possible. Success is defined by a global track record since 1999, which includes surveys in the North Sea, Caribbean, Angola, Mediterranean, and the Arabian Gulf.

The unique Q-Seabed system design ensures uniform coupling in all directions and unmatched data fidelity. It is a single-sensor acquisition system with fully calibrated hydrophones and three-component (3C) accelerometers. This is complemented by unprecedented levels of positioning accuracy and industry-leading source options. 

Efficient seabed acquisition 

Q-Seabed system technology improves the efficiency and applicability of multicomponent ocean-bottom acquisition without compromising data quality. Q-Seabed system crews can record data from up to four cables, each with a maximum active length of 30 km, with 25-m four-component (4C) sensor intervals, and can operate in water depths up to 4,900 ft [1,500 m]. This supports flexible survey design options that improve efficiency and minimize acquisition footprint on irregularly shaped surveys while maximizing the fold. The result is reduced survey time, cost, and equipment exposure.

Multivessel operations 

Multivessel operations and rolling spreads are an integral part of the Q-Seabed system technology. Large-capacity crews ensure that the highest-quality operations in both shallow and deep water are cost effective. The TRILOGY onboard data management system facilitates real-time control of operations with multiple recording and shooting vessels, enabling efficient operations throughout complex acquisitions. The Q-Seabed system was designed for rapid deployment with minimal manual involvement and real-time positioning to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations without compromising safety or data quality.
