Deepwater Service Integration

Service coordination, project management, and operational continuity assurance

Deepwater service integration offers a scalable coordination and project management service, and a documented process focused on achieving operational continuity for both equipment and personnel. This service maintains best practices and reduces the effect of learning curves.

Integrated service coordination for frontier and remote areas

We apply our experience (gained in more mature deepwater areas) to your projects and your procedures in frontier and remote areas. In these areas, Schlumberger service lines and external providers are coordinated by one Integrated Service Project Manager (ISPM) who is specially trained, multiskilled, and experienced. The ISPM acts as the focal point of contact for the customer. This concept is implemented in new deepwater projects that involve more than one Schlumberger service line.

This important role has a broad scope and is dependent on customer and project requirements.

Equipment continuity

Deepwater procedures are defined to avoid potential logistic and NPT problems related to rig-up of surface equipment, installations, and mobilization. We manage equipment and resource assignment (wireline logging unit, cementing equipment, and MLWD unit) according to the needs of each project, and focus specific equipment to a particular rig where possible.

People continuity

The same concept is applied to people. Deepwater-certified people are, where appropriate to the customer’s operational requirements and within logistical constraints, assigned to rigs rather than to a specific geographic location. Familiarity with rig-specific activities and processes reduces learning curves and improves service delivery.
