CTDirect Coiled Tubing Directional Drilling System

Overview Library

Directional BHA for efficient and productive reentry applications

Specifically designed to access additional reserves in thru-tubing reentry drilling applications, the CTDirect system enhances reservoir exposure and eliminates the need to remove existing completions or production tubing. The result is maximized production and improved rig and cost efficiency without interrupting production operations or incurring reservoir damage.

Enhance production from existing wells

The CTDirect system is specifically designed to access bypassed reserves and extend production in underbalanced, short-radius, and thru-tubing reentry drilling applications. The system features a 410° continuously variable electrical toolface orienter with real-time bidirectional data communication.

Minimize reservoir damage while drilling

For underbalanced or managed-pressure drilling operations, the CTDirect system minimizes the risk of reservoir damage while keeping your well live. Compared with overbalanced conventional drilling, underbalanced wells drilled with the system typically have earlier payout and lower well stimulation costs.

Improve accuracy of well placement and optimize drilling performance

The CTDirect system provides measurement of downhole drilling mechanics data, shock and vibration, inclination, azimuth, and toolface. This data is seamlessly transmitted to surface, where it is continuously monitored at the wellsite for precise directional steering and immediate motor stall detection.
