Khaled Al Mogharbel

Khaled Al Mogharbel is SLB’s executive vice president of geographies, taking on the role in July 2020. Before this, in his 29 years at SLB, he held various leadership positions, including executive vice president of operations, president of the eastern hemisphere from June 2017 to March 2019, and president of the drilling group. Khaled has great exposure in the Middle East, serving as president of SLB’s Middle East operations and vice president and managing director for Bahrain, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.

Earlier in his SLB career, Khaled held an assortment of management and engineering positions all over the world. He began in Saudi Arabia in 1993, working in wireline operations, a field he continued to work and promote within, bringing him from various Middle East locations to East Asia in China and Japan in 2002. Khaled was later assigned general manager of Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon in 2004, before being appointed global career planning manager based in Paris in 2007. 

Khaled holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and has been an active member of SPE since 1993.
