Technical Sessions Program
Sessions will focus on Geoscience & Reservoir Engineering Solutions and Production & Operations Solutions.
Geoscience and Reservoir Engineering Solutions Track
Whether finding new reserves or managing existing reservoirs, oilfield technology has realized dramatic innovation over the last decade, from improvements in seismic resolution such as Q-technology from WesternGeco, to horizontal and multilateral wells that provide greater reservoir coverage and production options.
This track will look at innovative subsurface workflows and collaborative environments that contribute to a better understanding of the subsurface, ensuring that your organization can maximize the value of technology to deliver on its reserve replacement and production targets. Solutions in this track will include the GeoFrame integrated reservoir characterization system, Petrel seismic-to-simulation software, ECLIPSE reservoir simulation software, and the Ocean development framework.
We will also focus on a solutions approach based on collaborating with customers to define and implement optimal solutions that deliver a measurable benefit to their core business-combining innovative services and technologies from both Schlumberger and our partners.
This track will feature presentations and case studies from your oil company peers, software demonstrations and workshops, and SIS and partner presentations.
Key topics will include:
- Overview presentations of GeoFrame 4.4, Petrel 2008.1, and ECLIPSE 2008.1 software
- Hands-on workshop highlighting prestack workflows in the GeoFrame system
- GeoFrame-Petrel workflow integration workshop
- Hydraulic fracture mapping in Petrel software
- Heavy oil reservoir simulation using ECLIPSE software
- Fractured reservoir characterization using Petrel and ECLIPSE software
- Rapid Response Simulation Services
- Data quality management and integration methodology
- Geo-tagging and unstructured data management
- Information management and data storage solutions for the asset
- National Data Centers case studies
Production and Operations Solutions Track
From lease to spud to production, you need access to effective tools and techniques to maximize your field potential and profitability. The Production & Operations track will give you insights into how your peers are using innovative SIS techniques and new technology to improve production efficiencies, enhance asset economic performance, and deliver faster drilling results in the area of production & drilling. Solutions in this track will include Avocet* production software, Merak* petroleum economics software and Osprey* drilling software:
Key topics will include:
- Production business planning with Merak Petroleum Economics
- Increased drilling and completions visibility with Osprey Operations Manager
- Standardizing your team's data access with Avocet Data Manager and Volumes Manager
