Antoine Rostand

Antoine Rostand is the global managing director of Schlumberger Business Consulting. Antoine is based in Paris and has been leading the firm for the past 6 years.
Prior to his current role, Antoine was managing the Consulting & System Integration European business of SchlumbergerSema, and from 1999 to 2002 he led EDS (Electronic Data Systems) operations in France. Antoine started his career with Schlumberger as a wireline field engineer.
During his 23-year career in energy and consulting, Antoine has worked with many of the world's largest NOCs and IOCs. He advised them on growth strategies, organizational changes, mergers and acquisitions, and operational excellence.
Antoine is a graduate from Ecole Polytechnique and earned an MBA from INSEAD.

Eric Janvier

Since 2004, Eric Janvier has served as SBC's director for Europe, the Confederation of Independent States, and Africa.
Before joining SBC, Eric managed Southern Europe for Cambridge Technology Partners from 2000 to 2003 and was a partner with McKinsey & Company, where he worked from 1989 to 1999. He started his career in 1984 with Schlumberger as a wireline engineer.
In the course of his experience as a consultant, Eric specialized in the industrial sector, serving in particular oil and gas, pharmaceutical, and high-technology companies. His work focused on strategy, organization, performance improvement, and post-merger management.
Eric is a graduate from Ecole Polytechnique and holds an MBA from HEC.

Al Escher

Al Escher has led Schlumberger Business Consulting in North and South America since 2006.
Al has been an officer of three companies, including Booz-Allen & Hamilton, the management and technology consulting firm; a major petro-technical software provider; and ABS Group, a global operations risk management and specialty engineering firm. He started his career with Texaco, working in field operations, field development planning, well testing, and reservoir simulation.
Al has served on the boards of three technology companies and has lectured on business strategy and entrepreneurship for the MBA programs at the University of Texas and Rice University.
Al has helped numerous clients achieve significant shareholder returns by focusing on operational excellence, corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and technology management.
Al holds a BSE from Princeton University, an MS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Southern California, and an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.

Piers Tonge

Piers Tonge has served as Schlumberger Business Consulting's director for Asia since 2004.
Piers began his career in oil and gas exploration. He moved to management consulting and joined SBC from Arthur D. Little.
For the past 20 years, Piers has lived and consulted across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. He advises IOC and NOC senior management on strategy, organization, capability, and operational improvement issues.
Piers holds an BSc in Geology and an MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance from the University of London. He is a member of SEAPEX, SPE, AAPG, and SEG.
