Steve Gassen

Steve Gassen is SLB’s executive vice president of geographies, a role he assumed in May 2025. In his current capacity, Steve oversees SLB’s sales, commercial, and geography-based business operations worldwide.

Steve joined SLB in 2017 as vice president of services for the Cameron Group following the company’s acquisition of Cameron, where he held various roles in materials management, strategic marketing, supply chain, and operations. Since joining SLB, he has taken on several key leadership positions, including president of Production Systems, senior vice president of Carbon Solutions, senior vice president of marketing, and president of Valves and Process Systems for SLB.

Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and a master’s degree in business administration from the Harvard Business School. He served as an SLB United Way executive sponsor from 2021 to 2023.
