A customer was looking to optimize their real-time operations and reduce ILT. The proposed solution focused on deploying DrillOps performance insights to optimize drilling parameters and monitor dissect connection practices. DrillOps predictive analytics was also used for the early detection of abnormal surface and subsurface conditions, vibration and high torque mitigation, and enhancement of ROP through improved drilling efficiency.
Historical data was ingested, quality controlled, and used for benchmarking in performance insights. This included building an ROP roadmap with recommended operational parameters based upon the offset data. End of section and end of well performance reports were generated daily and shared with the customer to enable performance tracking and feedback to operational teams.
Multiple active interventions were delivered due to predictive analytics alarms, supporting avoidance of potential undesired drilling events. This resulted in an 80% reduction in NPT compared to offset wells, and enabled delivery of a well 3.5 days ahead of the plan.
